Courier Bowl Challenge now in two-way tie for 1st
The 2018-19 Courier Bowl Challenge is underway, and Courier News/Sports Editor Brian Bergner Jr. and Copy Editor Doug Graham are tied for first after Friday's games.
After the Dec. 21 games that saw Florida International beat Toledo, 35-32, and BYU down Western Michigan, 49-18, sports reporters Chris Whitcomb and Doug Cook, along with Senior News Editor Tim Wiederaenders, are tied for third with 6-5 records.
Our panelists made their picks for each college bowl game and those selections are scheduled to be printed on page 1B of The Daily Courier’s sports section until the games are over, concluding with the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, Jan. 7.
The panelist with the best record at the end of the 2018-19 bowl season will be proclaimed the winner. If a tiebreaker is needed, the score of the championship game will be selected.
Follow along as we find out who this year’s best bowl-game picker will be. Thanks for reading!
