Rants & Raves: Dec. 16, 2018
Got something on your mind? Tell us about it in 40 words or less.
Don’t be misled! Preserving the Granite Dells is NOT a partisan issue! The Dells are a treasure for us all, regardless of our individual political leanings and saving them from development is a win for our whole community.
I grew up in a town of 10,000 with the slogan: “A Good Place to Live.” Today, it’s 40,000 and the slogan is “Just Another Chicago Suburb.” When will Prescott be changing its slogan to “Just Another Phoenix Suburb”?
Many thanks to city Parks & Recreation for upgrading lighting in Acker Park restrooms!
I commend the Prescott City Council and all citizens of Yavapai County who have spoken out against David Stringer’s comments and ask that he resign. He does not represent our city with his racist behavior. Mr. Stringer, please resign.
Perhaps George H.W. Bush made a mistake in the Middle East. It would have been a tough decision for any president.
Kudos to Prescott National Forest officials for their proactive “Firewise” work that is ongoing. Thank you.
Congratulations to the Courier for the stellar coverage of our horrible illegal drug challenges. Educating the public via effective, positive communication is a must! This is when the media shines.
Walking?! Why can’t people take the shopping cart to the parking lot return? I have seen people wrestle with a cart to get it up on the curb at the grocery store. Sometimes the return area is only 30 steps away!
It didn’t take long after the PSPRS tax passed for the Prescott City Council to decide it now has enough money to build a new city hall!
Thank you to whoever it was that paid my check at Denny’s in Prescott Valley on Dec. 13. I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas. Your act of kindness is greatly appreciated.
