HOUSTON, Texas — Students on a field trip in Texas captured video of a giant industrial spool that broke free from an 18-wheeler on a Houston highway Friday morning.
"When you're taking a group of students, you don't expect a Ferris wheel to come right at you," Mirus Academy Principal Laura Hogan told KTRK News.
The students were on a school trip to see the Holocaust Museum when the bus encountered the spool on Interstate 610.
"The bus driver let out a loud yelp and started to slam on the brakes," Hogan said. "I thought we were about to get in a wreck, so I braced myself and looked up about to see a wreck going to happen, but what I saw was a gigantic spool."
