Tree Lighting at Cordes Lakes Community Center

Friday, Nov. 30, was nearly a disaster for the tree lighting ceremonies. Santa’s elves had a problem at the North Pole and he was not able to be there to flip the switch to light the tree.

But the children didn’t mind as they had hot chocolate and cookies to keep them occupied until someone was found to take Santa’s place. While Christmas carols were playing in the background, everyone moved out into the yard for a better view of the tree on the roof of the Center. All went well as the tree lights flickered on just as planned.
