PHOENIX — Bradshaw Mountain’s girls’ soccer team posted its second consecutive shutout on Thursday, Dec. 6, blistering Moon Valley, 5-0, in a 4A contest to move above the .500 mark in the early going of the 2018-19 season.

Two days after blanking Cortez, 4-0, in their home opener Dec. 4, the Bears took advantage of another inferior opponent behind Hailey Denman’s hat trick of three goals. Denman has now scored five goals in Bradshaw Mountain’s first three matches.

Alexis Clynes and Bria Coleman added a goal apiece for the visitors.

The Bears improved their record to 2-1, while the Rockets dropped to 1-2.

“We didn’t play well, but we dominated,” Bradshaw Mountain coach John Sterling said of Thursday’s match.
