The Firefighter Angel Foundation, along with assistance from Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) and Prescott Fire Department crews, did some shopping at Walmart Friday, Nov. 30, for some very lucky kids this coming Christmas.

Ninety children who are either in the foster system, less fortunate, with disabilities or life threatening diagnoses, or have lost a mother, father or sibling recently will receive about $150 worth of gifts each, said Firefighter Angel Foundation Executive Director Cody Rose.

The gifts were made possible because of sponsors like AZTV, and two annual fundraisers the Firefighter Angel Foundation hosts every year.

After being purchased, all of the items were then taken to CAFMA’s warehouse, where they were individually wrapped by community volunteers.

Local fire and police agencies will deliver the gifts to 24 families during the week of Christmas.
