Labor Day Weekend

Faire on the Square this weekend

More than 130 vendors are expected for this year’s Faire on the Square Arts and Crafts Show, put on by the Prescott Chamber of Commerce. Of that number, about 25 are new to the event.

Held at the courthouse plaza in downtown Prescott from Saturday to Monday, Sept. 1-3, the show is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and until 3 p.m. Monday.

On Saturday, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s color guard will give an exhibition at 4 p.m. and Monday, the Clause and Effect Blues Band will perform at 11 a.m.

Granite Creek Vineyards starts harvest season

Granite Creek Vineyards is kicking off this year’s harvest season with a Labor Day Harvest Festival Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 1-2. The event features the vineyard’s newest wines and an art fair with local artists, free face painting, lunch available from Block Six Catering, and music from the Sir Harrison Band on Saturday and Five in the Wheel on Sunday.

Admission is $10 for the general public and $7 for Case Club members.
