Letter: Integrity, fairness needed?

So Dick Polman is upset about the “Death of Truth” in relation to President Trump. I have to wonder if Dick can distinguish between exaggeration and outright lying, as in “If you like your doctor, you can keep him (her),” or maybe “the attack on Benghazi was caused by a video,” or the assumption by President Obama that the police were guilty of murdering an innocent black man in Ferguson, Missouri before the facts were out, or Michele Obama’s declaration that “when they go low, we go high,” and on and on. Which of those “deaths of truth” would you recognize, Dick? What about these truths: lowest black unemployment ever; lowest unemployment over all groups in several years; and a general feeling of optimism, at least in half of the population. But that would actually take a measure of integrity and fairness that doesn’t seem to be in fashion these
