There is not much doubt that legislative members have taken advantage of the so-called “legislative immunity” provision of the Arizona Constitution. While this may be understandable under some conditions (frivolous and intended vote-changing lawsuits for example), it should not be blanket immunity.
I suggest that Gov. Ducey be given the constitutional ability to waive a legislator’s right to immunity under obviously corrupt circumstances. Why should bad actors be given a pass that the people do not have?
