Prescott Valley’s 40th Anniversary weekend is only three weeks away, and the town still has room at the celebration for commercial and non-profit vendors, artisans, car show entries, and entertainers.

The festival will take place at the Prescott Valley Civic Center on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 25 and 26. Saturday events will include stage entertainment by Eric Clapton, Journey and Heart tribute bands, local children’s groups, and other live music and performances, a huge car show, inflatable fun from Heroes Party Rentals, and a Hollywood Squares-style show sponsored by the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Saturday at 9 p.m., the largest fireworks show in Northern Arizona history will be set off in Mountain Valley Park, according to a news release. View them from the park, the Civic Center or gather some friends and enjoy the centrally located show from your neighborhood.

Sunday’s lineup will include an Antique Road Show style event sponsored by the PV Historical Society; a Cowboy Church service at the Theater on the Green, sponsored by the Yavapai DAR; a real wedding (one Prescott Valley couple has chosen to make history!) and vow renewals presided over by Magistrate Judge Keith Carson. A toe-tapping Gospel choir showcase will follow, along with an Ice Cream Social on the grounds. The Sunday evening feature concert is the ABBA tribute band, ABBAFAB.

The Prescott Valley Florist is donating a bouquet and arch for the bride and groom – Jacqueline DeLeon and Steven Morris - as well as a little something for those renewing their vows. If you’d like to renew your vows during this historic weekend, call PV Communications Coordinator Heidi Dahms Foster at 928-759-3123 to sign up.

Foster adds don't miss a chance to highlight your talents and your organization to the thousands of people expected to attend this event.
