After the Dewey-Humboldt Historical Society’s monthly general meeting, Charlie Connell will give a presentation on Fain Park Mining History, followed by a presentation on the historical society’s own Two Stamp Mill.

The meeting takes place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at the Agua Fria Church located at the end of 2nd Street off Main Street, Humboldt.

“This is a meeting you won’t want to miss,” said David Nystrom, DHHS president. “I can’t think of a better way to get ready for our move this month to Mortimer Farms and restart progress on erecting our Two Stamp Mill.”

Nystrom has rescheduled the group’s trip to the Ash Fork Historical Society Museum, following a flood incident, to Wednesday, Aug. 15. After seeing the museum, the group will visit Lulu Belle’s, a barbecue restaurant, for lunch before returning to Dewey-Humboldt.
