John Anthony Berutto

John Anthony Berutto, born in Bisbee, Arizona, Nov. 16, 1945, died July 26, 2018, at the age of 72, in his Prescott, Arizona, home.

He is predeceased by his mother, Katherine Blair Berutto, and his father, Ernest Berutto, Sr., both of Bisbee, Arizona.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Isabelle Barnes-Berutto; his brother, Ernest Berutto and his sister-in-law, Gayle Berutto of New Mexico; his daughter, Wendy Berutto of Colorado; his son, Cpl. Matthew Z. Berutto; two stepdaughters, Sharon McComack and Christina Faiola, of Prescott; and a step-granddaughter, Natalie McComack of Prescott Valley. John was a Superintendent for Arthur Porter and oversaw many construction projects in Arizona and Prescott, such as the old skating rink (the old Skate Town on 6th Street), the Montezuma Street extension/overpass at Granite Creek Park (the La Guardia Bridge), Earnhardt Liberty Kia in Prescott Valley and several Bashas’ stores under Arthur Porter Construction all over Arizona.

John had a love for the great outdoors, camping, and exploring Indian ruins. He was an artist of Southwest Indian artworks with many projects that were hand-crafted. He was caring and a good provider.

He retired in 2008 when he continued his craftsmanship on his home in Prescott.

Private services will be held at Heritage Memory Mortuary.
