The Little Learners, ages 1-1/2 to 5, held a party to celebrate their Graduation/Promotion after a year of hard work. They met each Wednesday to hear stories, learn to read books, and did many activities to be ready for their promotion. Activities included the freeze-dance, stories, ball toss and even a unicorn ride provided by Luke Bawden of Itty-Bitty Pony Parties. The unicorn came complete with horn and sparklies on his fur.

The Cordes Lakes Library has doubled its patrons in the past year and programs like the Little Learners has also doubled in patrons. That means that this year’s 25 children being promoted is expected to double to 50 next year. The size of the library hasn’t changed, even though the number of people using it has grown dramatically. Hopefully the funds to expand its size can be found so the many learning events Mo Elliott provides to the community can continue.
