Marie Ricker Byrne, 88, passed away Saturday morning, March 31, 2018, attended by her husband and daughters after a too-long battle with kidney disease and dialysis. She was born in Concord, Massachusetts, and was raised in Newburyport, Massachusetts, the oldest of seven children, by her parents Ralph C. Ricker and Edyth (Boulden) Ricker.

Marie led an active life in her home, family and community. In her professional life she served as bookkeeper for local businesses and as lead technician in the early days of color television. She was a dedicated volunteer in several community events and services, after moving to Arizona she continued to serve her community and was named as Volunteer of the year at her local Hospital.

Marie is survived by her younger brother Ralph Ricker, her husband of 42 years Ronald (Ron) Byrne, daughters Vickie (Lafoe) Martin (husband Bill) and Robin Gail Lafoe; stepsons T. J. Byrne (wife Ilke), Ronald E Byrne III, (wife Mary Ann), Sean M Byrne (wife Faith), and Darin C Byrne. Her five predeceased siblings were Arthur, Frederick and Harold Ricker and Jane King and Joanne Sauers. She leaves behind six cherished grandchildren, Casi Jo Byrne, Christopher Lafoe, Captain Matthew Byrne (wife Claire), Michael Martin, Kimberly Martin and Patrick Byrne. Her great-grandchild is Avery Pals. Marie is in a far better place than any of us here today.
