Dillan Osborn earns rank of Eagle Scout

Dillan Tiger Osborn, son of Alexander N. Osborn and stepson of Jane Cole Osborn of Prescott, earned the highest Boy Scouts of America rank of Eagle Scout. Boy Scout Troop 6 celebrated his Eagle Scout leadership award in a fireside court of honor at Pinerock Camp in Prescott on March 23. Dillan is also an Assistant Scoutmaster under Troop 6 adult leadership of Scoutmasters Michael Frost and Chairman/Assistant Scoutmaster David Sherman.

In cooperation with a VA sponsoring official, Rebekah Durocher, Dillan’s community service leadership was demonstrated over four months in a beautification project of the Veteran’s Administration Prescott National Cemetery. His project’s success was organizing Troop 6 and other Prescott scouts in placing tons of rock for conservation purposes into ornamentally pleasing lines. The scouts also spent two Saturday sessions trimming existing bushes along the fences.

Osborn is a Prescott High School senior with high academic accomplishment in three years of accelerated academic placement classes. He also served three years as a PHS basketball and golf athlete. In the current year, he played on PHS varsity basketball and varsity golf teams, as well as being a bass player in PHS orchestra. BSA Troop 6 welcomes prospective scouts under the sponsorship of the American Lutheran Church of Prescott. Interested future scouts may contact Troop 6 leadership through the church office.
