Injured woman carried out of Constellation Trail
Prescott firefighters carried an injured woman about half a mile along the Constellation Trail in Prescott Friday morning, April 6.
The woman, in her 70s, had fallen while hiking with her friends and was unable to finish the hike on her own, Prescott Fire Department Capt. Chad Dougan said.
Two fire engines responded to the incident at about 10 a.m. and two firefighters hiked in to rescue the woman using a Stokes basket, a form of stretcher.
The woman was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center’s Prescott campus with non-life threatening injuries.
