The Phoenix Symphony returns to Prescott, 3 p.m., at the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center. The orchestra will perform Symphony No. 3 (the “Scottish Symphony”) by Felix Mendelssohn, Agnosto Veteris by Nina Young, and Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto, featuring talented young cellist Istvan Vardai.
