Don and Etta Parson

Don and Etta Parson were married March 8, 1968 in Tucson, AZ. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party on March 10, with all six of their children, most of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family and friends at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Prescott.

Don and Etta moved their blended family to Prescott after Don retired from the Air Force in 1974. In 1975, Don opened the Book Nook, Prescott’s first used book store. He sold the store to his daughter, Marilyn, in 1996 and actually retired!

Etta worked for Judge James Hancock as his Judicial Administrator for 17 years in the Yavapai County Superior Court before retiring as well.

Their children are Marilyn Unruh, Herb Unruh, Van Parson, Peggy Wagner, Kathy Henderson and Dan Parson. They have 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
