Visit the Easter bunny and enjoy a day of fun and family-friendly activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary.

Four Easter Egg Hunts take place: 11:30 a.m. for children ages 0-3, 12:30 p.m. for ages 4-6, 1:30 p.m. for ages 7-9, and 2:30 p.m. for ages 10-12.

Scavenger hunts – with treats awarded to children for participating – plus a visit from the Easter bunny and real bunnies, special animal shows and feedings throughout the day, and face painting are part of the festivities. Concessions also will be available for purchase, so you don’t even have to leave the park to get lunch.

All event activities are free with general paid admission, adults $10, children ages 3-12 $6, and Zoo members free. Hop through the line with advanced tickets. Pre-sale tickets are now available in the gift shop.

While visiting the Zoo Sunday, wish Loki a happy birthday as she turns 3 years old. A guest and staff favorite, thanks to her energetic and charismatic personality, the coyote was only a day or two old when found abandoned on a trail near Phoenix, severely dehydrated with her eyes swollen shut.

After weeks of around-the-clock care from the zookeepers, she regained her strength, and has been going strong ever since. Loki never developed the skills to survive on the wild by herself and may never be able to live free in the wild.

Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary is located at 1403 Heritage Park Road, Prescott. For more information, call 928-778-4242.
