Eric R. Bourdon

Eric R. Bourdon, 81, passed away peacefully with his family on Aug. 30, 2017, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Biloxi, Miss., on Feb. 14, 1936, to Eric and May Bourdon.

He is survived by his sons, Stuart (Christine) Bourdon of Orange, Calif., Glen (Irene) Bourdon of Yorba Linda, Calif. and Phillip (Tina) Bourdon of Prescott Valley; his grandchildren, Erica (Daniel) Paret of Keller, Texas, Alexandria (Jonathan) Rummel of Berlin, Germany, and Jeffrey Bourdon of Irvine, Calif.; his sister-in-law, Beth Nason of Tulare, Calif.; and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 51 years, Glenda Sue Bourdon, in November 2007.

Eric graduated high school from Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, Tenn. and college from the California State University at Fresno.

He worked for Los Angeles County for 24 years, his last position as the Director of Harbors and Beaches.

Eric and Sue retired to Prescott in 1992, enjoyed an active lifestyle, and made many friends in the community. He enjoyed playing tennis, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at the Trinity Presbyterian Church at 630 Park Ave. in Prescott.
