Petal It Forward in Prescott

The team from Allan’s Flowers & More and Prescott Valley Florist will be hitting the courthouse plaza of Prescott on Wednesday, Oct. 11, to hand out bouquets of flowers to busy workers to help brighten up their week.

This is part of the ‘Petal It Forward’ program in partnership with the Society of American Florists (SAF).

Petal It Forward is in response to the release of new data by SAF showing the positive emotional benefits of flowers.

Lucky recipients will receive two flower bouquets so they may share one with a loved one, coworker or stranger.

The businesses will start passing out flowers at 8 a.m. and expect to hand out 200 bouquets within the hour.

New cannabidiol store in Prescott hosting educational seminar

A new store that sells cannabidiol (CBD) products has opened in Prescott at 1515 Thumb Butte Road.

Called My CBD Etc., the store’s products range from CBD oils, tinctures to pills.

Cannabidiol is one of the cannabinoid molecules produced by the cannabis plant. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning there are no intoxicative effects and is legal to purchase without a medical marijuana card.

The business will be hosting an educational seminar Saturday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. at its store. Dr. Jeanette Kramer will be there to answer questions. Call 928-776-0944 to reserve a seat.

CuttingEdge Services expanding presence

CuttingEdge Services, a mobile knife and tool sharpening business, has sharpened cutlery for restaurants for the past two years and recently started branching out to homeowners.

The business does not have a physical location, so homeowners can either have the operator’s come to them or drop off items to be sharpened at either the Ace Hardware in Chino Valley or the Ace Hardware in Paulden.

CuttingEdge will also begin setting up a booth at the Prescott Farmers Market this winter starting Saturday, Nov. 4, and then every third Saturday of each month after that.

For more information, call 928-583-0367.
