Old World Bagels closes
After 7 years of business in Prescott, Old World Bagels & Market has shuttered.
Owners Gina & Eric Foreste officially closed up shop on Sept. 16 to pursue another family business outside of the state, Eric told the Courier.
They are, however, looking to sell all of their business equipment for $35,000. Those interested may go to the business’s location at 735 6th St., Suite D. On the door is a note with a phone number to call.
“I really would like to see someone purchase it in its entirety and start it up again,” Eric said. “I would train and do whatever was necessary to help them do it.”

A grand opening event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 22, said Jesse Schromen, regional director of Northern Arizona for TCC.
Plaza Bonita is now Guacamayas
Plaza Bonita, a Mexican restaurant in Prescott, has changed ownership.
The previous owners chose not to renew their lease, instead selling the business to a couple long-time employees of the restaurant, Jorge Sagagun and Alejandro Reyna.
Sagagun has been a waiter at Plaza Bonita for about 10 years, and Reyna has been a chef at the restaurant for about the same amount of time.
They officially took ownership on July 1. Since then, they’ve changed the name to Guacamayas, done some minor renovations to the interior, and added a few items to the menu.
