Letter: Politics of labeling

I am now a Nazi? A response to Wayne Compton’s letter. I completely relate. As a constitutional conservative, one who loves this country, it is difficult to swallow the “of the day” labels born of liberals using a broad-brush paint us all with.

We conservatives remain strong while we watch liberals play identity politics, which is destroying their own credibility. We as a nation should be using our national symbols that represent the best of America as tools that can unite us all in common purpose.

Mr. Compton, I feel sadness, pity really, while I watch the Democratic Party’s engagement in self-destructive behavior. The Democratic Party now has a large segment of liberals who have moved to the left-wing. I view left-wing and right-wing as extremist that are to be marginalized by leaders of both parties and all of us. Suggestion to Democrats: put the lid back on that labeling paint can. Make America Great again!
