Thousands turned out on Saturday, Nov. 11, for the Veterans Day Parade in downtown Prescott. “Honoring All Who Have Served … Let Us Never Forget” was this year’s theme for the Prescott Veterans Day Parade, which took place in downtown Prescott on Saturday, Nov. 11. With 86 entries, awards were given to the best entry in seven categories: Commercial, Fraternal Organization, Hospital, Marching Unit, Motorized Group, Music and Nonprofit, as well as the APS Sponsor award for Best Overall.
The 2017 Veterans Day Parade winning entries are as follows:
Fraternal: American Legion Post 78
Hospital: Northern Arizona VA Women’s Health Program
Marching Unit: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Army ROTC, Detachment 028
Motorized: The Prescott Antique Auto Club
Music: The Pride of Prescott Marching Band
Nonprofit: The Prescott Regulators and Their Shady ladies
Best Overall: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Air Force ROTC, Detachment 028
