Prescott man arrested, charged in wife’s homicide
Cops: Woman missing, presumed dead
A man was arrested Wednesday, May 24, and charged with murder in connection with the disappearance of his wife, Yavapai County Sheriff’s spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn said.
David Pagniano, 55, of Prescott, was charged with one count of second-degree murder.
His wife, Sandra Pagniano, 39, has been missing since May 19, when she failed to show up at a social event, D’Evelyn said.
On May 21, Sheriff’s deputies took a missing person report, and detectives from the Criminal Investigations Bureau developed information that David “may have harmed or killed” Sandra, said D’Evelyn.
The couple was separated but still living together with two children, ages 8- and 12-years-old, D’Evelyn said, and they are now under monitored care.
David is being held in the Camp Verde jail on a $2 million bond.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on Sandra’s whereabouts or with information that might help the investigation to come forward. Anyone with game cameras near the area of the 13000 block of North Yaqui Drive is also asked to call.
