3 teams claim titles on final day of Tobin-Glick softball tourney

The SW Bandits from Tucson got off to a fast start on Saturday at 3-0, and coasted for a title at the Tobin-Glick Memorial Senior Softball Tournament on Sunday, May 21, in Prescott.

Three age groups were in action on the final day of the Tobin-Glick Memorial Senior Softball Tournament on Sunday in Prescott.

In the 55’s bracket, Los Vatos ran away with the championship with a 6-0 record. They beat Thunderstruck 17-5 before squeaking by the AZ Scorpions 12-11.

In the 60’s, the SW Bandits from Tucson got off to a fast start on Saturday at 3-0, and coasted to the championship with a 5-0 record. Bucky’s was about to put pressure on them, but lost their last game in extra innings 23-22 to Full Throttle.

In the 50’s bracket, it came down to the final game between the Alpha Dawgs and Prime Time, which were undefeated on Saturday. The winner-take-all final of the tournament did not disappoint, as the Alpha Dawgs beat the Heat with a walk off single in the bottom of the 7th, 22-21.
