Church, business partnerships truly benefit HUSD schools
Quad-City Schools

The Humboldt Unified School District is proud of our numerous partnerships throughout our community. One such partnership is that between community churches and businesses that have “adopted” our schools. Each of our 10 schools share a partnership with a church and/or a business that helps with anything from needed supplies to support for the staff and students. Each school has a planned out relationship depending on the needs of the individual school and the capacity of the church and business. This partnership is unique because we all share the same families whether they are parishioners at the church or customers and employees at a place of business. They are all part of our Humboldt Unified family.

Principal Jessica Bennett at Bradshaw Mountain Middle School states, “Over the past three years, Prescott Valley United Methodist church (PVUMC) has blessed the lives of our staff and students in so many ways. It is a priority of their congregation to collect school supplies and donations each year to support our schools. It feels like Christmas several times a year when members of the church drop off paper, art materials, or playground equipment for our students. The greatest blessing we receive from PVUMC is knowing that the members pray for our staff and students each week. We feel their love and support on so many levels.”

Principal Candice Stump adds, “Coyote Springs Elementary is very privileged to have Pierce Property Management as its business partner. They have been instrumental in providing support for our teaching and learning environment. They have provided CSES with well over $5,000 in donations to support our school. They have purchased our school a duplicator machine and the ink to run it for a year, school supplies for our students and teachers to use in the classroom, cash donations, lunches and breakfasts for our staff, and various incentives for teachers and staff. We are so very grateful for their partnership and support of our students and staff. Their partnership has been an absolute gift to our school during these very challenging times for schools. Thank you Pierce Property Management for being a part of our village.” CSES has also been recently adopted by the Prescott Valley Bible Church and look forward to the next school year.

There are so many amazing things that each have contributed to our schools, our staff and our students. A simple thank you just doesn’t seem enough but the smiles on everyone’s faces and the feeling of giving is apparent with all who volunteer their time and resources to our schools. Bright Futures Preschool would like to thank the LDS Church in Prescott Valley for recently adopting the preschool and to Stepping Stones for their continued support. Granville Elementary would like to recognize The Church Next Door and the First Southern Baptist Church for their amazing collaboration at Granville. Humboldt Elementary is very appreciative of everything that the Trinity Lutheran Church and Kooiman Realty have done for their students and staff. Lake Valley Elementary appreciates what the Lifepointe Church and Alta Vista Senior Living has done for their school, staff and students.

Liberty Traditional is appreciative of their partnership with One AZ Credit Union and their extraordinary relationship with the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Mountain View Elementary is blessed to have the Prescott Valley Church of the Nazarene within their school, as well as the Prescott Valley Early Bird Lions Club. Glassford Hill Middle School is grateful for their adoption from The Ridge in Prescott Valley with Pastor Will Vallely and their generosity to the students and staff. Finally, Bradshaw Mountain High School would like to thank Matt Showalter and the Prescott Valley Christian Church and the Backburner and Gabby’s for their support of the school and staff.

We welcome community involvement within our schools.
