Letter: Who needs cable?
I enjoyed reading Alan Whitney’s letter to the editor about dumping his cable TV provider for their ridiculous pricing structure that penalizes continuing customers.
There is an option for him if he does not want to go completely “no TV.” The majority of areas around Prescott and even the Quad Cities are good to receive free broadcast TV signals. There are some good amplified digital antennas available, some look nothing like the old unsightly TV antennas. You don’t even have to worry about which way it’s pointed if you choose an omni-directional model.
Lots of options here, lots of channels available, most are high definition quality. For little more than one month’s cable bill you can have the equipment to receive free signal.
