Amateur radio general license classes continue

The Yavapai Amateur Radio Club and Eagle Amateur Radio Club at Embry-Riddle are offering a free study class for the amateur radio general license.

Do you have your entry level amateur radio license? Are you ready to move up to the next level? The general class license offers many privileges to boost your enjoyment of “ham” radio.

The class is being held on three consecutive Saturdays; the first was March 25, however, those interested still could benefit from the classes on April 1 and April 8. Classes are in the King Engineering Building #72, Room 132, at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Sessions will begin at 8:15 a.m. and finish about 4:30 each day. To register (required) for this class, contact Brian Vlastelich (K7TSY) at bvlastelich@aol.com or call 928-583-7572.

The class will prepare you for the licensing test on May 13. Testing for all levels of FCC amateur radio licensing are offered by the Yavapai Amateur Radio Club, and are held at the Jeep Posse building in Pioneer Park. For more information or to pre-register, email testing@w7yrc.org.
