Vehicle crash causes Prescott power outage

A cement truck that was pulling into a private driveway broke overhead power lines and triggered a power outage in Prescott on Tuesday, June 20, Prescott Police spokesman David Fuller said.

The lines went down in the 1700 block of Estrella at about 8 a.m., he added.

APS spokeswoman Amy DeGraw said 96 customers lost power in an area from Linda Vista to Los Aross and Granite Mountain Middle School to Victoria Avenue.

All but four customers had power back within a few hours, but those four had to wait until later in the afternoon to have their electricity restored.
