Richard Edward Kessler, ‘Gremlin’

Richard Edward Kessler, “Gremlin”, 75 passed away June l8, 2017, with his wife Gina and his son Kristian at his side at YRMC in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

Born to Richard and Wanda Kessler in Kokomo, Indiana, on April 2, 1942. He graduated from Arcadia High School in Phoenix, Arizona, and had previously resided in Anaheim, California. Richard served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard and upon return to civilian life became an Iron Worker then a Goldsmith and Watch Repairman. He was Property Management Co-owner and was a self employed as a Contractor. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Scottish Rite Shriner. He was the last Charter member of and was the former National President of the “Hangmen Motorcycle Club,” that was established in 1960 in Richmond, California, and former President of the Board of Directors for the Make-Wish-Foundation of Northern Arizona.

Richard is survived by his wife, Gina Manriquez Kessler; son Kristian - Edward Manriquez Kessler; brother, Marlin Kessler; mother, Wanda P. DeVoe; and stepfather Gareth Staats, all of Prescott; and many family members, beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Richard James Kessler; his son, James Richard Kessler; and his brother, James Duane Kessler. Memorial Services will be on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 1 p.m., at the Northern Ariz., VA Chapel, 500 Highway 89 in Prescott. A Celebration of Life will be on July 29, 2017, right after the memorial, location: to be announced.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, support and the many heart-felt condolences from so many friends. A special Thank You to Hangmen Motorcycle Club, USA and Alemania.
