Updated as of Monday, January 9, 2017 4:33 PM
Sandi Flores has recently taken the position of senior programs director for Catholic Charities Community Services northern offices to oversee employees and programs in Bullhead City, Cottonwood, Flagstaff and Prescott.
Flores will be replacing Jean Littlehale, who served in the position for six years.
“Sandi has worked hard to build community relationships around serving our most vulnerable in regards to homelessness and permanent and affordable housing,” Littlehale said. “Sandi’s shown her dedication to continual improvement of programs through her participation with the Arizona Coalition to End Homelessness and The Balance of State Continuum of Care. As she’s completed her post graduate degree, she’ll be leading services in northern Arizona in an innovative and impactful way. We’re blessed that she’s accepted this promotion.”
After serving Catholic Charities for the past 17 years, most recently as a senior program manager and site director of Flagstaff services, Flores says she’s “excited for the opportunity to continue the strong leadership provided by Jean Littlehale in the northern region with the goals of supporting, motivating and connecting staff to the overall agency as well as working toward finding permanent solutions for the vulnerable individuals and families we serve.”
Flores currently serves as chair of the Flagstaff Public Housing Authority Board, a member of the Northern Arizona University Social Work Department Advisory Board and a board member on Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona. She has a bachelor’s degree in social work from Northern Arizona University and a master’s degree in human services from Walden University. She has lived in Flagstaff for 30 years and is married with five children.
Flores started her new position on Dec. 1, 2016.
Founded in 1933, Catholic Charities provides care for the vulnerable of all faiths in Phoenix and northern Arizona through programs in foster care, early start education, housing, veteran services, refugee relocation and poverty reduction.
