Annie L. Bertschy (nee Mueller)

Annie L. Bertschy (nee Mueller) was born to Eternal Life on Dec. 24, 2017, at the age of 91.

Loving mother of Linda (Myron) Bergmann of New Berlin, Wisconsin; dear sister of Arlene (David) Krueger, Arthur (Phyllis) Mueller, William (Sharon) Mueller, Arnie (Audrey) Mueller, and Marlene (Donald) Lechner; beloved sister-in-law of Reuben (Johnnie) Bertschy, and Lloyd Derge; dear friend of Jeffrey and Susan Tomb. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon W. Bertschy; daughter, Betty Bertschy; parents, Arthur and Leona Mueller; sisters, Bernice Hoff, Leona Benser, and Evelyn Derge; and brothers-in-law, Lenard Hoff and Lloyd Benser.

Annie was born Aug. 8, 1926, in the Town of LeRoy, Wisconsin, and married Gordon Bertschy on Oct. 20, 1951, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brownsville, Wisconsin. She and Gordon made their home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before retiring to Prescott Valley, Arizona. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, and later First Lutheran Church in Prescott, Arizona. Annie was also a founding member of Christ Lutheran Church in Prescott Valley, where she shared her love of God by actively volunteering for the church. Annie loved her family and friends, and touched the lives of many with her faith, friendship, and kindness.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at 11 a.m., at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3300 N. Navajo Drive, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church.
