Black Canyon City service station robbed

A man wearing a bandanna as mask and carrying a holstered gun, caught on surveillance video, took an undisclosed amount of cash from the 76 Service Station in the 35000 block of Old Black Canyon Highway Wednesday, Dec. 20.

A man wearing a bandanna as mask and carrying a holstered gun took an undisclosed amount of cash from the 76 Service Station in the 35000 block of Old Black Canyon Highway Wednesday, Dec. 20, said Dwight D’Evelyn, Sheriff’s spokesman.

The robbery happened at about 1:30 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white man, thin build, 6-foot to 6-foot-3, black baggie shorts with a shiny belt buckle, black sweatshirt with hood, black-and-white mask and last seen driving a driving a dark colored SUV.

He may have left the scene is an blue Chevy Trailblazer, with faded paint, riding low in the back as if it was carrying something heavy. It was northbound on Old Black Canyon Highway.

Anyone with information on this robbery or suspect is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 928-771-3260 or, if you see the suspect, dial 911 and do not approach them.
