GUANGZHOU, China - A technology company in China has broken the world record for most robots dancing simultaneously.

WL Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd staged the dance last week in Guangzhou, Guangdong using 1,069 synchronized robots approximately 18 inches tall.

The robots – named ‘Dobi’ – were programmed to perform a perfectly choreographed dance routine to earn the Guinness World Records title.

According to Guinness World Records, a few robots fell down during the attempt, which were deducted from the final record total.

WL Tech organized the challenge to demonstrate their latest robotic technology, which also allows Dobi to talk, do Tai Chi and other human-like actions.

The previous world record was held by another Chinese company, Ever Win Company & Ltd, with a total of 1,007 robots.
