Minaë Tani of Tokyo, Japan, daughter of Tetsuo and Fumika Tani of Tokyo, Japan, married William LaFleur of Chino Valley, son of Steve LaFleur and Patricia Allen-LaFleur of Prescott, Arizona. The Bride earned a BA in Linguistics/Marketing from Tokyo and London universities. She works as a freelance translator/marketing consultant/DJ. The groom earned a BA in Anthropology/Psychology from the University of Arizona, and currently works as an English teacher.
They wed Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 10 a.m. They were married at Meiji Jungu Shinto Shrine for the Eastern Ceremony Event Hall and near Noborito Station for the Western Ceremony. The bride wore a family kimono and the groom’s grandmother’s gown.
They honeymooned during a western USA tour. They will reside in Oulu, Finland, where William will attend graduate school.
