Letter: Russian foes

Editor:

I’m a veteran, a father and grandfather, I’m not OK with Russians infiltrating our elections, our government and being welcomed into our White House!

The Russians are not our friends, they are sworn enemies. Ignorance of Russia’s lethal threat is understandable given less than 1 percent of all Americans alive today have ever served in our military and how greed-driven, corrupt politicians lie daily about Russia.

If Republicans love their country, now is the time to prove it! Whether President Trump’s supporters like it or not, Russia is big news, because a hostile foreign power violated the bedrock of our democracy, and the Commander in Chief is mysteriously hell-bent on doing Russia’s bidding and battling our own intelligence agencies sworn to protect the Constitution and our lives.

God didn’t put Trump in the presidency, deluded Republicans did. The United States is as close to crossing over from democracy to autocracy as it has ever been in our lifetimes.

Start taking the disturbing Russia stories more seriously. For if you don’t, all that will remain for the “Make America Great Again” crowd is those crummy red hats. In any crucial presidential decision between Trump and America, Trump will always pick himself, he’s already sold us out to the Russians for his gain.
