If you missed getting tickets to the now sold-out Dancing for the Stars fundraiser scheduled for Friday, April 21, to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona, you can still revel in the celebration online or by watching the local “celebrities” dance on cable Channel 64.
Boys & Girls Club of Central Arizona has arranged to live stream the event that will feature 11 local “celebrities” dancing with professionals on both television channel 64 or online at dancingforthestars.net at 7:30 p.m.
During the performance, viewers can purchase votes for your favorite couple on dancingforthestars.net: $20 equals 1 vote and the donation equals a credit on Arizona’s state taxes for next year.
This year’s celebrity dancers include Joe Baynes, Leza Dandos, Brad Fain, Dr. Todd Geiler, Father Darren Merlino, Sheila Polk, Cheryl Rolland, Steve Sischka, Larry Stephan, Marnie Uhl and Mackenzie VanWormer.
Proceeds of the event will benefit the club that provides after school and summer programs in Prescott and Prescott Valley. Club programs focus on four key areas: academic success, healthy choices, character development, leadership and fun with a purpose.
