A Dog’s Life reopening
A Dog’s Life, a hotdog stand in the parking lot of Foxworth-Galbraith, 430 6th St., will reopen on Monday, April 17, after about three weeks of being temporarily closed.
Its owner and operator, Pat Gregory, took some time off to recover from hand surgery.
“My doctor said to not work for six weeks, but I’m ready to get back to work,” Gregory said.
Thumb Butte Distillery wins medal
Thumb Butte Distillery in Prescott has won a bronze medal in the American Distilling Institute’s annual competition.
Their Bloody Basin Bourbon whiskey won in the Bourbon category for whiskeys aged 2 to 5 years. The product is available at the distillery in Prescott and at over 100 on- and off-sale outlets throughout the state.
This is the premier competition for spirits in the country. The competitors are certified craft distillers throughout the world, according to a news release. There were over 1,500 entries from 800 distilleries in blind tastings with judges from all facets of the spirit industry.
Mandalay Homes awarded
Mandalay Homes has been named a 2017 Energy Star Partner of the Year Award winner for its efforts to bring more certified energy-efficient homes to market.
Mandalay Home’s accomplishments will be recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington, D.C. on April 26.
