The Prescott Chapter of the National Society of Sons of the American Revolution presented three Flag Certificates to Yavapai Exceptional Industries on March 22.

Our certificate reads “in Recognition of Exemplary Patriotism in the Display of the Flag of The United States of America.”

They were presented to Bradley J. Newman at all three locations in the Prescott area. Newman is the Executive Director of the program that puts more than 100 disabled adults to work. We toured the three facilities today and we found a thriving, energetic environment, with happy people working and having good time. They package for Ruger, make bird seed combinations for Jay’s Bird Barn, and build furniture, benches, picnic tables, and other items for sale. It was payday and everyone was so proud of their income. When they received their W2s they pointed out that they pay taxes to help our soldiers and veterans.

What an inspiration for the community and anyone that realizes this company exists. They are a 501c3 and with contributions they make this happen.

Dave Moore, the Prescott SAR Chaplain and Flag Committee Chairman, took the steps to arrange this recognition.
