PRESCOTT – Alex Koehler had 10 kills, four digs and four blocks, Abbey Smith and Keiana Vicente each had eight kills and the Prescott volleyball team won its seventh-straight power point match in a 3-1 victory over Lee Williams on Tuesday night.
Erinn Marroquin led all players with 26 assists, while Grace Hendricks added a match-high 16 digs for the No. 2-ranked Badgers, which haven’t gone the distance in a best-of-five series match since a 3-2 season-opening win over Sunrise Mountain on Sept. 1.
Tuesday night’s 3-1 (25-13, 25-5, 21-25, 26-24) victory comes 48 hours before the Badgers face rival Flagstaff, which comes to town ranked No. 3 in the state.
Other standouts for Prescott against the Volunteers include Ashlynn Uvila with seven kills, while Mckella Wright had 17 assists.
Prescott (10-4, 5-0 4A Grand Canyon) hosts Flagstaff on Thursday, Sept. 29, with the Eagles coming off a 3-0 sweep over Bradshaw Mountain on Tuesday night at home.
Flagstaff (14-0-1, 4-0 4A Grand Canyon) has won eight straight power point games. Official start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
