Prescott Animal Hospital, which has been providing veterinary services to the Prescott community for almost 70 years, has been awarded the Veterinary Health Care Team of the Year award from the Veterinary Health Care Team of Arizona (VHCTAz), part of the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association. The award was presented to several team members during their participation in the Veterinary Health Care Team Annual Celebration at the Phoenix Zoo in October. The award is presented to the Prescott Animal Hospital Team for their “demonstration of the 10 qualities of highly effective veterinary staff which exemplifies the true meaning of teamwork.” The Prescott Animal Hospital veterinary team credit their success to collaboration and continuing to develop their knowledge and skills to aid in the advancement of animal health and well-being.
Established in 2002, the Veterinary Health Care Team of Arizona is dedicated exclusively to veterinary staff. Arizona continues to lead the nation when it comes to recognizing the important role of each individual in the practice and how they contribute to highly-efficient, well-functioning teams that provide excellent client and patient care.
Joanne Graham, the Hospital Administrator at Prescott Animal Hospital, was honored to accept the award with several of her team members during the celebration event. Ms. Graham was recently nominated for the VHCTAz feature “Spotlight on Team Members” for the important quality of ‘dedication’ and being dedicated to her purpose. Her nomination by her team credited Ms. Graham for her commitment to each of her employees, her “open door” policy, and for her inspiring achievements in continuing education. Both Ms. Graham and her award-winning team were featured in recent issues of the VHCTAz newsletter, “Team Talk.”
