An 11-year-old Ashfork child was killed Friday after being struck by a vehicle at 6:36 p.m.
According to Chino Valley Police Department Lt. Vincent Schaan, his department responded to a call of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on State Route 89 at Mile Marker 333.2.
The incident is still under investigation, but according to Schaan, there was no impairment or criminal action by the driver.
Highway 89 from Road 5 North to Old Highway 89 was closed until 10:33 p.m. in both directions.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the Arizona Department of Transportation and the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority were on the scene.

The crash was reported by the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
According to a post on the office's Facebook page, as of 8:12 p.m., the highway was completely shut down.
Motorists were urged to take alternate routes.
The road was reported open in both directions around 10:45 p.m.
