UAF to hold rummage sale benefiting animals

United Animal Friends’ annual “Rummage to the Rescue” rummage sale Nov. 11-15 promises to be a bargain hunter’s dream. This year’s sale will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and Monday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Monday is “Half Price Day” and Tuesday is “Make an Offer Day,” a news release from UAF states.

To make things even more exciting this year, a special pre-sale is being offered on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The pre-sale is limited to 30 shoppers and reservations are required. A $25 entry fee will be charged. Reservations can be made by calling Janet at 928-775-9535.

This year’s sale will be at 428 N. Mt. Vernon Ave. in Prescott (formerly Fortner Aerospace Manufacturing). Follow the signs to the back of the building. Use of the building was generously donated by the owner, Bob Fortner Jr.

UAF’s eagerly anticipated rummage sale will offer a variety of one-of-a-kind bargains, including antiques, furniture, household items, collectibles, jewelry, books, artwork, electronics, pet-related items, home decor, holiday items, tools, sporting goods, yard art, office supplies, children’s items, craft supplies, glass and tableware, irresistible knickknacks, and funky items.

Donation items may be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays thru November 9th. UAF will not be able to accept mattresses, TVs, large electronics, major appliances, liquids, hazardous materials, or damaged items.   All donations are tax deductible and tax receipts will be provided.

Proceeds from rummage sale will support UAF programs, including animal rescue, spay/neuter, and the UAF Community Pet Food Bank. For more information, visit UAF’s website or call Janet at 775-9535.
