People Who Care to host volunteer orientation Nov. 16

People Who Care’s next volunteer information and orientation meeting is set for 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 505 W. Gurley St. in Prescott.

Volunteers provide caring non-medical assistance for adults unable to drive due to age-related and physical limitations, in order to help them continue living independently in their own homes and communities.

People Who Care has programs in Prescott, Prescott Valley, Dewey and Chino Valley. Volunteers help in the community where they and where enrolled Neighbors live. The majority of our Neighbors live alone. Volunteers offer one-to-one assistance with transportation to health care appointments, grocery shopping, personal paperwork. Sometimes they simply visit a Neighbor in their home or call for just a few minutes a week.

Call 928-445-2480 for information or to let People Who Care know you will be coming to the meeting.
