Armed Forces Day will not go unnoticed in Cordes Lakes. American Legion Post 122 posted the colors on the Avenue of Flags for all to see. Once all of the flags are in their holders, the flag raisers clasp hands as the Post chaplain says a prayer for all military personnel. Then the group recites the Pledge of Allegiance.

Since it was the third Saturday of the month and time for “Breakfast At The Center,” most of the group retired to the Cordes Lakes Community Association Center for breakfast. The United Teens have been serving at many of the meal events and have been very well received, as they were at this event. This is an excellent example of diverse groups working together for the good of the community.
