Letter: Paying it forward
Recently, my son and daughter-in-law and I were coming back from an overnight in Phoenix and we stopped at Leff-T’s Steak House in Dewey for an early dinner. On the way to our booth, a middle-aged man helped me navigate around his table.
When we were seated, he came over and said I reminded him of his mother-in-law who had recently died at the age of 95. Said she had gone every place with him and his wife.
When he was finished with his meal, he came over and chatted a bit and left. Then his wife came over and we chatted. When they had both gone out the door, the waitress told us they had paid for our meal.
For three of us, this was quite a gift and whoever you are, I appreciate you both and will “pass it on.”
