Prescott Police officers and tow truck crews clear Gurley Street of debris after a six-car crash Saturday afternoon, May 7.

At around 12:50 p.m., a man in his mid-70s is believed to have suffered some sort of medical emergency while driving through the intersection of Bradshaw Drive and Gurley Street, said Sergeant Bryan Dever, of the Prescott Police Department.

Unable to stop the vehicle during the emergency, the driver of a Ford Flex continued eastbound on Gurley, hitting several cars before coming to a stop about a quarter of a mile down the road in the intersection of Gurley and Sheldon streets, Dever said.

Traffic between the two intersections was blocked off for about two hours as police and tow crews cleared the area.

The driver of the Ford Flex was the only one transported to a hospital, Dever said. Everyone else made it out of the accident with only minor injuries. Four of the six vehicles involved in the crash had to be towed away from the scene.
