The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the encore return of “Remember” (starring Christopher Plummer) and “One More Time” (starring Christopher Walken) showing April 8-13 at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

REMEMBER

“Remember” makes an encore return to Sedona after sold-out screenings and rave reviews at the recent Sedona International Film Festival. It was one of the highest audience-rated films in the festival lineup.

“Remember” is a gripping thriller in which the darkest chapter of the 20th century collides with a contemporary mission of revenge.

“Remember” tells the story of Zev Guttman (Academy Award-winner Christopher Plummer), a 90-year-old struggling with memory loss who is living out his final years in a serene retirement home. A week following the death of his beloved wife Ruth, he suddenly gets a mysterious package from his close friend Max (Academy Award-winner Martin Landau), containing a stack of money and a letter detailing a shocking plan. Both Zev and Max were prisoners in Auschwitz, and the same sadistic guard was responsible for the death of both their families — a guard who, immediately after the war, escaped Germany and has been living in the U.S. ever since under an assumed identity.

Max is wheelchair-bound but in full command of his mental faculties; with his guidance, Zev will embark on a cross-continental road-trip to bring justice once and for all to the man who destroyed both their lives.

Academy Award-nominated director Atom Egoyan creates a thrillingly fast-paced revenge story that, in a highly original and deeply intimate way, deals with the aftermath of one of the most deplorable and significant events in recent history. With an incredible lead performance from Christopher Plummer as the frail but unstoppable Zev, “Remember” manages to keep audiences on the edge of their seats while giving them something to think about long after the film is over.

“Remember” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre April 8-13. Showtimes will be 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Monday, April 8, 9 and 11; and 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 12 and 13.

ONE MORE TIME

“One More Time” features a stellar ensemble cast including Academy Award-winner Christopher Walken, Amber Heard, Oliver Platt, Hamish Linklater and Kelli Garner.

Beautiful aspiring rock star Jude (Amber Heard) is stuck in a rut - relegated to recording commercial jingles and lost in a series of one night stands. When she is evicted from her Brooklyn apartment, she is forced to move into the Hamptons home of her wealthy — and selfish — father Paul Lombard (Christopher Walken), an over-the-hill, Sinatra-esque singer angling for a musical comeback.

As the two reunite, Jude is forced to confront her problems, including troubled relationships with her father and over-achieving sister (Kelli Garner) as well as her wobbly career and faltering love life.

As Jude and Paul butt heads, they unexpectedly find themselves on a journey that may redefine their lives.

“One More Time” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre April 8-13. Showtimes will be 7 p.m. on Friday, Sunday and Monday, April 8, 10 and 11; and 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 12 and 13.
