Frontier Days Royalty applications due April 23

The Prescott Frontier Days Royalty program is seeking young ladies interested in competing for our 2017 titles of Miss Prescott Frontier Days, Prescott Frontier Days Senior Court, and Prescott Frontier Days Junior Court.

Applications are available at www.worldsoldestrodeo.com or at the Prescott Frontier Days office at 840 Rodeo Drive, Prescott. The deadline for application is Saturday, April 23, at 8 a.m. There is a $60 entry fee to cover the cost of photos, materials, etc. Details may be found on the application.

The annual royalty competition is open to any full-time resident of Yavapai County who attains the minimum age of for each category by June 11. The queen position is open to those age 17-23; the senior court encompasses ages 14-16; the junior court is for girls aged 11-13.

The royalty contestant schedule includes an Orientation on Saturday, April 23, starting at 8 a.m., horsemanship orientation on Sunday, April 24, at 8 a.m., Grand Entry Orientation on June 9, 11, and 18, and the Pageant dates are June 11-12.

The Prescott Frontier Days Royalty promote the “World’s Oldest Rodeo” at local chamber mixers and other events, statewide parades and rodeos, and various western-related festivals and fairs.
